Last week, we launched Gas LayerZero v2 Inscriptions. $GWEI is the first cross-chain inscription minted natively on the LayerZero v2 protocol. Gas.zip is the first bridge to combine the creativity of inscriptions with the interoperability of LayerZero.

Gas was the first bridge to allow users to transact on multiple LZ chains in a single transaction. Since the launch of Gas.zip and Gas LayerZero, we have witnessed a rapid and sustained increase in user growth across our product offerings. $GWEI is our latest offering, allowing users to engage in the newest LayerZero v2 protocol at levels previously unseen. Users can mint their $GWEI on nearly 40 DIFFERENT LAYERZERO CHAINS!

A quick recap on inscriptions! Inscriptions are simply metadata appended to the data field of your transaction. By minting these directly to the LayerZero network, inscriptions become natively interoperable between chains and can exist anywhere. There is a total supply of 4,000,000,000 $GWEI, with 4,000,000 total $GWEI inscriptions at 1,000 each per transaction. Each transaction has an associated LayerZero protocol fee, along with a Gas protocol fee. Users will see their inscriptions as soon as the LayerZero inflight messages are delivered.

In the week since launch, the number of transactions across all Gas products has multiplied rapidly. Users have minted 45,000,000 $GWEI, LZ.Gas.zip usage has increased 6x, and it is currently the second most used protocol on LayerZero.

Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BNB continue to be some of our users favorite inbound chains! Arbitrum Nova, Base, Fuse, Gnosis and Celo have seen the most inscriptions thus far with Kava, Moonbeam and Optimism close behind. There are currently 2,000 inscription holders!
